My first date achievement was hit-or-miss, but I judged it to be the chemistry, not what I was wearing (thanks a lot). When I picked out what to wear on the first date, I am a creature of habit. After a few years of dating strangers, I’ve gotten into the habit of deliberately dressing “casual”, which for me is usually jeans with a tailored T-shirt or shirt and a pair of comfortable shoes. Despite what that description might lead you to believe, that doesn’t mean I didn’t put in the effort. Simply put, as an exceptionally humble person, I realize that I want first impressions to be a true representation of who I am.
However, since dating is a process with a bit of a closed feedback loop (which is rare and weird to comment afterwards), I’m curious to know how other women dress on a first date.
