In an Instagram post shared on May 24, Wynonna not only reminisced about her past promise that she would continue singing after her mother’s death, but also made good on her vows by releasing a new song. New collaboration with Waxahatchee.
Wynonna wrote: “In the midst of all that happened, I said I would continue to sing. “So, here I am.”
Wynonna explained that the new song blossomed after she met Katie Crutchfieldsinger who founded the solo music project Waxahatchee.
“I met @waxa_katie last year and we connected instantly,” she wrote. “We recorded ‘Other Side’ in the farm studio here and it’s been one of my favorite recording experiences ever. I’m grateful for the opportunity to sing with my generation. next great.”
The song was released almost a month after Wynonna and her sister, Ashley Juddshared the sad news that their mother had passed away at the age of 76.
