Albanian police arrest 60 fans before Conference League final
Police in Albania said 10 officers were injured while trying to stop fans from Feyenoord and Roma from fighting ahead of Wednesday’s Europa Conference League final in Tirana.
“As a result of violence from fans of both teams, 10 policemen were injured and one police vehicle was damaged,” Albanian police said in a statement.
Police were attacked by fans holding glass bottles, sticks, rocks and other objects, it added.
“Police took 60 people from both groups of supporters, 48 Italians and 12 Dutch, to the station.”

The final is one of the biggest sporting events ever hosted by Albania, with authorities declaring Wednesday a public holiday and closing major roads in the capital.
With the final venue only accommodating 21,690 people, thousands of fans from both the Netherlands and Italy are expected to watch the match in two different fan zones.
Police said they had taken measures to prevent violence from erupting on match day.
