Enes Kanter appealed to Michael Jordan and said the NBA legend had done nothing for the Black community.
“Not a lot of people are talking about Michael Jordan,” he said. “Michael Jordan didn’t do anything, nothing, for the Black community in America, other than, you know, give them money. I feel we need to name these athletes. At least LeBron James is out there and is the voice of all the oppressed in America.”
Kanter added that Jordan “didn’t do anything for the Black community because he cared too much about selling his shoes around the world and America.”
Kanter also said, “every time you put your shoes on, you put that t-shirt on your back, there’s a lot of blood and sweat and oppression on those items, so think twice before you buy any any of their belongings.”
Jordan did not respond to Kanter’s statement.
