World Oceans Day Contest 2023: Deadline Extension!
DPG is pleased to announce that the submission deadline for the 10th annual United Nations World Oceans Day Photo Contest has been extended and the contest is now open until April 28, 2023!
The pivotal contest offers a unique opportunity for photographers to showcase the vast breadth and depth of ocean beauty and shed light on the lesser-known promise and potential that abounds beneath the waves. its. The winners will be announced on stage during the United Nations World Oceans Day event on June 8 and televised live on UN TV.
This year’s submission categories are:

- Putting the Ocean First
- The wonderful world of tides
- Ocean is life
- Big and small faces underwater
- underwater seascape
The World Oceans Day photo contest is run by Ellen Cuylaerts and judged by a jury of world-renowned photographers. The 2023 competition was organized in partnership with the DPG, Oceanic Global, the United Nations Division of Ocean Affairs and Law of the Sea, Nausicaa, and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission. The judges include: Rathika Ramasamy, Ipah Uid Lynn, Rajan Desai and Antoine Janssens.
