First time relegation and racing like a fool after seventh place in Forbidden Apple Staking (G3T) at Racecourse Saratoga On July 15, Wolfie’s Dynaghost led Bert Allen under Irad Ortiz Jr. and held a draw to win that lasted three games. Highly rated with 3-5 odds against five opponents, he prevailed over the 2nd place winner Bigger who registered 3/4 of the time Kendama in part three.
Wolfie’s Dynaghost, a 4-year-old son of Ghostzapper get out Dynaformer mare Dynaire , raced 1 1/16 miles on solid grass in 1:42.62, followed by steady openings of: 24.27, :48.03 and 1:12.25. He returned $3.20 to the win.
By catching his fifth race in 16 starts, he made $90,000, increasing his earnings to $369,305 for Woodslane Farm owner/raider and trainer Tom Albertrani. Those connections also lobbied Sadler’s Joy, the late lawn marathoner who won the 2017 Sword Dancer Stakes (G1T) award during a long career in which he earned more than $2.6 million .
