What will you play this weekend? (July 8)

Okay, it’s been long enough. i’m going back Kingdom Tears. It was a necessity for me to take a short break from the game after finishing the story a few weeks ago, but now I crave those side quests. I’m not going to take rather first time i’m so hooked, but a few hours here and there can’t hurt, right..?

i’m still playing Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony at the moment, but I have to admit, I also have a bit of a craving to get started Xenoblade Chronicles 3 again. I played it at launch but ended up getting distracted and couldn’t finish it. Even so, I love what I’ve been playing and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Danganronpa first, though.
On PS5, I’m still trying to get through Final Fantasy XVI. It’s one of those rare games that I wish would never end; I’ve invested a lot in this world and I’m scouring every side quest available just to be able to delay the inevitable ending a little longer.

This weekend I’m looking to go retro. I just got a bunch Book4Games‘ The GB/GBA storage boxes came out after I started them up a while ago, so I plan to move my collection over to them – and hopefully activate a few boxes in the process. Also, I will probably go back to Tears of the Kingdom to find a temple or two after I polished the Temple of Fire a few weeks ago. And I want to play more Dordogne, which I started right after launch but can’t go back. Gee, it’s a gorgeous looking video game.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Good delivery this week, specifically the great collector’s edition non-metals And Legends of Heroes: Trails to Reverie (wait, why is this game 18+?). With Road to Elite mode completed in AEW fight forever all I’m left with are pointless barbed wire death matches between superstars. I should probably start creating my own characters soon. I will also continue Gauntlet: Dark Legacy GameCube campaign and underwater racing antics in thunder for Dreamcast. I have a severe Midway fever!
Game of the week is BATSUGUN Tribute to Saturn Enhanced! It is still a pity that the original arcade game continues to not be re-released but this Saturn port is too good to really need to complain. Toaplan’s last and greatest game invented the whole world of bullet hell and remains an absolute joy to play to this day. Worth the wait for the physical version from the Far East.
Well, that’s all we’ve planned for this weekend, how about you? Drop the game you’ll be focusing on in the poll and then check out the comments to let us know if you have anything else on the cards.
