Hey guys, and welcome to the first Whatcha Been Playing of June! Let me start things off by thanking you all for subscribing last week’s 200th entry and provide us with the largest commentary WBP has had in a while. It’s great to see so many communities showing strength, as you all do week in, week out. May it be long it will continue, we can be long all of continue.
As I continue to arrange furniture (e.g. Kotobukiya model) in my new home, I hope that your week and weekend have been/will be bad days. As we approach the summer months, here’s hoping for some nice weather and some great outdoor activities. Go on an adventure with friends, like Stand by me… Except there’s no dead body… or Keifer Sutherland flicks a switch… or almost gets killed by a train… Damn, it’s dangerous outside, think again. Best leave it to the movies.
Rumble Royal
This weekend is a Platinum Jubilee, in which every Briton is expected to wrap themselves, their homes and their families in Confederate flags to celebrate the monarch’s 70th year of reign. While that is admittedly a great achievement, I simply don’t care. As such, I will not be sitting in my garden celebrating the extent of austerity and growing poverty that are bringing the UK to its knees. Instead, I’ll watch crappy movies, run shooting ‘n’ through Profitand return to the ring with V street fighter and Guilty Gear Strive. I don’t need a royal family when I can endlessly bow my head to my array of fighting game queens.
Let them eat the flag
You want royalties? Look in the mirror. The Destructoid community is our monarchy, with no golden trainers or sexual deviance. Well, there is no golden trainer to any extent. So before you visit your own throne, (don’t forget to blush) I want you all to get on your knees before the change of Whatcha Been Playing and join us on amazing adventures. that you have spent the week.
