Diablo IV will allow the player to add sockets to the device in a way that is no longer random. Unlike Diablo III, where you’ll need to passively re-roll on items to potentially get sockets, players can instead simply talk to the Jeweler to add to their gear. It will only cost some gold and the Scattering Prism. This system is said to be much easier than it appears in Diablo III and will allow players to make early game builds a little easier.
However, keep in mind that the Scattering Prism is a fairly rare drop and is mainly dropped by World Bosses. They can be obtained through other methods, but this is arguably one of the most reliable. Also, players can only interact with the Jeweler once they reach level 20. But once you’ve reached level 20, you can proceed to add sockets to your equipment in Diablo IV. The first jeweler was found in Kyovashad, and was found next to the Ring and Amulet merchant.

Diablo IV will launch on June 6, 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC, and the Early Access test weekend will run from March 17-20, 2023. open beta will run from March 24 to 27, 2023.
