Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4Motion with IQ.Drive – RM 299,990 with AEB, adaptive cruise control
The Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4Motion has been updated in Malaysia with the IQ.Drive package, which offers an additional Arteon safety kit. It also has a revised price tag, currently priced at RM299,990, up RM23,000 from its previous price of RM276,990.
The IQ.Drive package contributes to the Arteon R-Line 4Motion’s following safety features:
- Front support – a version of Automatic Engine Braking (AEB), which will monitor the road ahead and provide audible and visual warnings to warn you if there is a risk of a collision. If necessary, it will automatically apply the brakes to help mitigate a collision.
- Adaptive cruise control – when cruise control is active, it uses radar to adjust your speed to the vehicle in front, slowing down and accelerating if needed.
- side support – it will warn you if another vehicle is in your blind spot and will assist you in reversing to avoid a collision if necessary.
- Rear cross-traffic alert – while you are reversing your Arteon, this will warn the driver of objects approaching at 180 degrees and up to 50 meters away at up to 12 km/h.
In addition to the IQ.Drive package, Volkswagen also adds a Qi wireless phone charger.
Volkswagen Arteon is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine EA888 with a capacity of 280 PS, a torque of 350 Nm, combined with a 7-speed wet clutch DSG transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels through the 4Motion system.
The RM299,990 price tag includes 5 years of free maintenance (or 75,000 km, whichever comes first) in addition to a 5-year manufacturer’s unlimited mileage warranty and roadside assistance.
