Ukraine War: West declares ‘all-out mixed war’ with Russia, declares Lavov – as Putin warns Finland not to join NATO | World News
Moscow’s foreign minister said the West had declared an “all-out war” against Russia and it was difficult to predict how long it would last.
Sergei Lavrov said the consequences of the war in Ukraine will be felt around the world.
But speaking of sanctions against Russia, he warned: “Western politicians should understand that their efforts to isolate their country are futile.”
And he went on to accuse Western nations of stealing other countries’ assets and losing their reputations as trusted partners.
In the future, the world economy will be de-Americanized, he said.
Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the Finnish leader that abandoning his neutral stance would be a “mistake” but poses no security threat to the country’s capital Helsinki.
In response, Sauli Niinisto told Putin that his request for countries to avoid joining NATO, along with the invasion of Ukraine, had changed Finland’s security environment.
