Trend #1: Cool and Light

Julie Rootes told me: “I saw the bedrooms move in the direction of the sanctuary. “With all the chaos going on in the world around us, the bedroom has become a safe haven where we can shut off all the noise in the world and recharge our batteries.” Rootes, who is the owner and who is behind Julie Rootes Interiors, predict the “sanctuary” bedroom is a light, airy and light bedroom. “This gives you a soothing feeling for your mind and body,” she says.

According to experts, this is a comprehensive design focal point. “We get tired of the standard headboard,” says Regan Baker. Violante believes: “We need our bedroom to be an oasis of peace, meditation, beauty and relaxation — and nature really helped us achieve this quickly.

According to the design duo of V&R Interiors. One way is to leverage a view. Violante recommends using transparent or sheer window shades to allow sweeping views and natural light through the windows. This, he said, let “nature be the star”. It’s also a way to trick the eye into thinking a window is bigger than it is. Of course, another simple and consistent way is to include a beautiful houseplant gorgeous planter.
Trend #7: Quality and luxury pieces

Instead there is a desire for quality, luxurious and meaningful products, from custom vanities to vintage beds to high-end bedding. “Customers are leaning towards quality over quantity,” says Elle Cole. “Hand-crafted furniture that lasts a long time is in high demand as many people have invested in luxury during the pandemic and are now unwilling to compromise when it comes to quality.”

A well-crafted piece for the bedroom can vary in taste and price. Look for pieces of furniture that are made of solid wood or metal and made from plastic or mixed materials. Alternatively, check out your local antique or antique store for vintage items found at (usually) easier prices.
