Tito Rabat replaces Tom Sykes on Puccetti Kawasaki ZX-10RR

Tito Rabat returns to WorldSBK with Puccetti Kawasaki

Over a week before the start of round 5 of the Superbike World Championship, scheduled to take place at the Misano World Circuit, Kawasaki Puccetti Racing announced that they will be using Tito Rabat on the team’s Ninja ZX-10RR in the rest of the 2023 season.

After ending his partnership with Tom Sykes, the responsibility now rests on the 2014 Moto2 World Champion for the welcome return to the team’s home stage at Misano.

Tito Rabat has in fact raced with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing, competing three laps in 2021 (Portimao, San Juan Villicum and Mandalika) and one lap in 2022, at the same Misano World Circuit.

I am very happy to be back at Team Puccetti and Kawasaki. This is a great opportunity for me to go back to WorldSBK but also keep up with the race pace, because this year I am competing in MotoE where there are not many races. I will try to make the most of this opportunity and help Manuel Puccetti’s team as they continue to develop their bike. I’ve had some great times with this team and both sides respect each other, so I think it’s a good time to rejoin them and achieve even more success. Of course, I want to have fun and give it my all, but also finish all the races to collect as much data as possible. See you all at Misano!“.

Tito Rabat

Tito Rabat was born in Barcelona on 25 May 1989 and started racing in the CEV 125 in 2004 before winning the world championship in the same category in 2006.

During the 2011 season, he competed in Moto2, gaining 12 wins and 33 podiums during his five years in the middle division. He was crowned world champion in 2014.

In 2016 he switched to MotoGP, where he stayed until 2021. Then he decided to switch to WorldSBK, the championship in which he has competed 35 races so far, scoring a total of 53 point. This season, he is competing in both the MotoE World Championship and Spain’s ESBK 1000, which he finished as champion in 2022.

Manuel Puccitti

I’m excited to announce Tito Rabat’s return to our team. In both 2021 and 2022, the Spaniard is tasked with replacing an injured rider, which is never easy and he raced without a chance to test drive so don’t know. about our bike. Despite this, Tito has always proven himself to be an excellent racer, with considerable experience in both Moto2 and MotoGP championships. We will be happy to have him back on the team for this home round of Misano where our goal will be to continue developing the bike and try to improve the results scored so far.
