As mentioned at the beginning, the EV9 series in Malaysia uses the same powertrain, which is a dual motor, four-wheel drive, with a capacity of 385 PS (380 horsepower or 283 kW) and 700 Nm. This gives the car a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
The range figure is also identical at 505 km according to WLTP standards. This is thanks to the 99.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that supports DC charging (CCS2) at a maximum output of 350 kW, so a 10-80% state of charge can be reached in just 24 minutes. As you can see, the EV9 we’re about to buy is pretty well equipped regardless of variant, so the only thing you need to decide is how many seats you need. Go for the cheaper seven-seat option and you get a 60:40 split-folding bench in the second row with one-touch sliding functionality.
