As usual, the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) has announced list of “World Awards” winners, which this year includes 40 cameras, lenses, accessories, monitors, software programs and printing services. TIPA members include magazines like America’s Digital photo reporterUK News Photography and of Australia Camera.
Perhaps no one will be surprised that both Nikon Z9 and Canon EOS R3 were awarded, the former being named “Best Full-frame Professional Camera” while the latter received “Best Camera Innovation”. While, Sony a7 IV received the award for “Best Full-frame Professional Camera” and the Nikon Z fc was named “Best APS-C Camera.” Perhaps more surprisingly, Panasonic Lumix GH6 lose OM System OM-1 for the title of “Best Micro Four Thirds Camera”. “Best Medium Format Camera” is Fujifilm GFX 50S II.
In terms of lenses — with regard to underwater shooters, of course — TIPA praises Canon RF 14–35mm f/4L IS USM as “Best full-frame wide-angle zoom lens” and Canon RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM as “Best Macro Lens” of the year.
