When Massachusetts beachgoers discovered that a dog had not only been abandoned but had been strapped to a metal rod on a treacherous part of the beach, they didn’t know what to think. What they are do know that this poor Pit Bull is in need of immediate rescue.
Thanks to their kindness, the once abandoned puppy has now found the family of his dreams.
Abandonment is a brutal form of abuse, but then intentionally tied up in a place where your death is almost guaranteed? That is absolutely horrible.
Fortunately, this lucky boy was discovered in time by visitors to the nearby beach, who were shocked to see a dog that had been left alone and abandoned on the beach.
Not only were they shocked to find him alone, but they were also deeply terrified that he would not be able to survive the inevitable rise of the tide. So, as you might have guessed, they immediately called the authorities for help.
Fortunately, it wasn’t long before Massachusetts State Police soldiers arrived on the scene and were able to free precious Pittie from her predicament.
The dog was intentionally tied to an iron rod fixed to the beach in a low-lying area that became completely submerged at high tide. If he was not rescued, he was forced to face the rising water without being able to escape. He is almost guaranteed to drown.
Once he was finally freed and given so much love, a Massachusetts State soldier gave his new best friend to Sweet feet rescue. There, he was mesmerized by the staff.
Not long after catching the puppy from the beach, the State Military Force launched an investigation to find out who might have committed such a heinous crime. It took just three days for investigators to identify the dog’s previous owner.
The Massachusetts State Police filed animal cruelty charges and took the man, identified as Elias Pacheco-Osario, into custody. After his arrest, he was asked why he let his dog die on a beach. Pacheco-Osario told the soldiers that he was no longer interested in taking care of him.
It turns out that luck will continue on the side of this accidental dog. Not only was he saved from near-certain death shortly, but he was about to find an extraordinary permanent family. Shortly after arriving at the shelter, a man entered and spotted him. It’s lightning love.
Now he is named “Horus” after the Egyptian God “who is said to hold the sun in the right eye and the moon in the left. ” Horus has an immediate connection with his new doggy dad, “Bobby,” who reports that training is going well and that Horus enjoys hiking.
