Tim Tszyu bursts with excitement for the American debut

Tim Tszyu’s US debut is approaching and the super heavyweight contender can’t wait for the night of the fight.

Tszyu faces former world champion Terrell Gausha in Minneapolis tomorrow night, and the 27-year-old is above cloud nine to finally become the United States.

“This is a buzz for me. I am very excited,” he said at his final press conference yesterday.

“We did great things in Australia and sold out in one day. But I needed to go to America because this is what I’ve been watching all my growing up life. To finally experience it is unbelievable. This is what I live for”.

Fighting in the US has been too long for the undefeated Australian, but the Coronavirus pandemic has prevented him from going abroad.

Tszyu said: “This is a long time ago.

“I am pumped. I’m out of my skin. My father (Kostya) gave me advice about the war, like what to do and what not to do”.

Tszyu respects Gausha and doesn’t go into too many details about the fight, instead he plans to repeat what has served him well so far in his 20-match career.

“I will do what I always do. The game plan is pretty simple. I will make as few mistakes as possible and capitalize on his mistakes. “

Gausha says he “feels in danger” and insists he can do things Tszyu has never seen before.

“I feel like I’m just a different kind of opponent than any he’s ever faced,” said the 2012 Olympic athlete.

“I’m sure he’s watching my games, but I think what he’s watching is the wrong thing. I don’t think he’ll be ready for what I’m going to show him on Saturday. ”
