Alexis Devine didn’t set a goal for her puppy Bunny and Bunny’s brother, a Standard Poodle named Otter, to become TikTok stars. She started sharing their interactions on a whim. Even though the baby mice didn’t know they were becoming popular online, the content she posts was engaged viewers – 7.5 million of them.
People love Bunny’s ability to communicate – through words! She has a board with more than 100 FluentPet knot. These buttons are used to record the words a dog might “say” when stepped on. Alexis explains that the talking dog Bunny uses buttons to “announce how she feels, what she wants, when she’s in pain and how upset her little brother (Otter) is.”
Alexis didn’t expect her post to go viral. Talking dog Bunny taps buttons with his paws to tell her, “Mom, I love you” was one of the first posts to attract a large number of viewers. A more recent post shows Bunny saying to Alexis’ dad, who was sitting on the dog at the time, “Love you.” Grandpa’s reaction, captured on security camera, is one of genuine emotion as he bends down to tell his talking dog Bunny that he loves her too. It’s honest communication that viewers can’t get enough of.
Bunny mostly talks, but lately Otter has also started to act, sneaking a peek at his sister’s word collection. Bunny isn’t the only dog in the family that can communicate with humans.

Kevin Bubolz and his Golden Retriever, Ellie, create online content to support their mission – spreading smiles to their 4 million TikTok followers.
Kevin first learned how much happiness a dog can bring to a human when he was deployed in Afghanistan as an army pilot. His unit was escorted by a dog named Zac, who spread joy even in the harshest of environments. “When I got home from deployment,” explains Kevin, “I decided to create the same happiness in my local community.” He trained Ellie as a therapy dog, and they spent years volunteering in schools, nursing homes, and hospitals.
But during the pandemic, when in-person volunteering wasn’t an option, Kevin and Ellie needed another path. At the time, Kevin was studying for an MBA in marketing and reached out to college students to ask where they spent their time. The answer he thought he heard was “TikTok.”
When he created an account and realized it was just called “TikTok”, he immediately saw the attraction. He recalls, “I fell in love with the ability to connect with people around the world through short-form video.
The co-stars are known for their entertaining, family-friendly content. In one of their videos, called Ellie’s Taste Test Tournament, Ellie got over 125 million views while showing amazing restraint over delicious food. In the post, Ellie sampled the delicious salmon by running her tongue over the food after Kevin suggested, “You can taste it.” Ellie then considers which one she will pick while she waits for her reward signal.

TikTok isn’t Susan’s first foray into the world of social networking. The trio, Susan (who likes just her name) along with her French Bulldogs Gus Gus and Marty, had a huge following on other platforms when friends suggested trying TikTok.
Susan discovered that she loves the creativity and fun of the platform, especially the way it incorporates music into videos. She credits TikTok for being the pioneers of that feature.
Marty is a big draw, but it was Gus Gus who starred in their first viral post, a clip where you can hear him sound like he’s saying, “Mom “.
