Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Review – The Points Guy

Are you visiting Tokyo Disneyland and want to stay as close to the park as possible while still enjoying the comfortable rooms and unique décor? Tokyo Disneyland Hotel might be the best Tokyo Disney hotel for you. Here’s the experience of a recent vacation there.

What it’s like at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is located right near the Disney Resort Line Station (also known as the monorail) and the entrance to Tokyo Disneyland. It feels like an extension of what Main Street intersects with Disney Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Floridathanks to its grand, festive style such as its spacious staircase and soaring chandeliers.

While there may be a slower line at check-in, the public spaces are tidy and in good condition, and the service is polite and helpful. The presence of various English-speaking actors is an added benefit.

How much does Tokyo Disneyland Hotel cost and how to book a room?

While prices vary based on dates and room types, currently the cheapest rates start around $390 per night. Convenient and somewhat unusual for Japan, there are rooms for three and four adult guests, making them great for families. Room rates listed are generally for two adults and up to two children 11 years of age or younger, per person fees may apply otherwise.

SUMMER/THE POINTS GUY

You can book accommodation online four months in advance; Some room types sell out quickly, so book early. There is a deposit of USD 200 per room at the time of booking. The remainder is paid upon check-in.

I recommend themed rooms based on movies like “Alice in Wonderland” and characters like Tinkerbell. We chose “Beauty and the Beast”, which has three single beds and cost about $570 for a one-night stay in mid-March.

Rooms at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

Our “Beauty and the Beast” room features magical furnishings, turquoise hues, and lavish accents. It features sconces, fairy tale castle-inspired curtains, and an exaggerated headboard with a rose motif that makes it feel like a castle room filled with books and Belle’s friends. It puts the theme of this story into much more detail than you usually see at Disney hotels in the US. Even the cups and toiletries in the bathroom are themed.

The bed is a bit hard but that’s normal in Japan; Many of the pajamas we found in the wardrobe were convenient to borrow.

SUMMER/THE POINTS GUY

We couldn’t love this spacious and character-filled room more, as it’s both functional and brightly themed, cheerful and full of fun.

Insider tip: If you happen to be looking out a window facing the park when it closes for the night, turn off the lights in the room and use your phone’s flashlight to wave to those going home for the evening . Odds are high they will signal a return.

What we ate at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

There are three restaurants at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel: Sherwood Garden (buffet-style dining), Canna (finer dining), and Dreamers Lounge in the lobby. You can make reservations online for the first two restaurants, but we just went into the lounge for breakfast.

The buffet costs only 24 USD for adults, 14 USD for children from 7 to 12 years old and 8 USD for children from 4 to 6 years old – a great price compared to Disney prices in the US. There are Japanese and Western staples such as miso soup, rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, cakes, sliced fruit and juices. It’s a simple breakfast but feels elegant thanks to the refined service and grand ambience.

Amenities and things to do

The hotel offers a number of useful amenities, both Disney-related and unrelated:

  • Two stores – one selling market goods and one selling Disney souvenirs.
  • Bibbity Bobbity Boutique is dedicated to princess makeup. Prices here start at around $60, but for packages that include full princess makeup with a gown (which looks much better than the US version), you’ll pay more than $200.
  • Swimming pool (summer only, currently scheduled to open mid-July 2024 and subject to a fee).
  • Smoking room.
  • Laundry room.
  • Luggage transfer service if you are moving to another Tokyo Disney hotel.
  • Happy Entry 15 minutes early every morning to both Tokyo Disney theme parks. Tip: Line up for service at least 30 minutes before the scheduled Happy Entry time. That way, you can organize your daily trips in the app and avoid long lines. (Note that starting June 6, 2024, Happy Entry will only apply to Tokyo Disneyland when staying at this hotel until further notice.)
  • Accessibility: Tokyo Disneyland Hotel has an accessible Deluxe Room with ample space for transporting personal equipment, grab bars next to the toilet and bathtub, and sliding doors to the bathroom. Bottom line

Although our time at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel was brief, it felt magical and epic – a real highlight of our trip.

Although this is the closest hotel to Tokyo Disneyland, you can spend some time here and then move to one of the two closest hotels to Tokyo DisneySea (Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel and Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta Hotel) and The Fantasy Spring area is about to open for tours. the rest. Additionally, staff will move your luggage for free.

But for feeling like you’re sleeping in a real castle, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel takes the crown.
