Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 4 opens on February 10, with the hero and champion of Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable’s Breeders’ Cup for minors (G1) 2 years old Forte favorited 8-1 out of 39 individual betting preferences plus the popular number 40 option of “All other 3-year-olds” is not listed.
Pool 4, featuring a $2 win and exact bet, opens at noon on February 10 ET and closes on February 12 at 6 p.m. Fans can place bets at the racetracks, simulation sites, and pre-stake betting shops nationwide.
Forte, a three-time Class I champion, is based in the Palm Beach Downs in South Florida and has recorded three published workouts since his return to the track. Coach Todd Pletcher said Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) March 4 at Gulfstream Park is a possible target for Forte’s 2023 launch.

There are 13 new betting preferences in Group 4 from Group 3: resolute , eye-catching clover , first defender , dim departure , Funtastic again , Game changer , Ride the rocket rocket Geaux , General Jim , Hoosier Philly , magician , Red Road One , Dark dragon And slide Mahoney .
Brad Cox leads all coaches with a list of 10 3-year-olds in Group 4, followed by Steve Asmussen (6) and Pletcher (4). The horses trained by Bob Baffert are not among the personal betting preferences, as Churchill Downs Inc. Instead, they will be included in the pari-mutuel field.
Luis Saez overtook five Group 4 participants in their final start: Determined, General Jim, Instant coffee , Kingsbarns And Tapit Trice .
Following Group 4, there will be two more early bet opportunities for competitors targeting the 149th run of the $3 million Kentucky Derby (G1) on Saturday, May 6. 5 will take place March 10-12 and Pool 6 from March 30 to April 1. The only Kentucky Oaks Futures betting will coincide with the Kentucky Derby Group 5 Futures Betting on May 10-12 3.
There are no refunds in Kentucky Derby Futures Bets. Should Churchill Downs officials determine during this week’s three-day round that one of the hobbyists has suffered an injury, illness or other circumstance that prevented the horse from entering Kentucky Derby, bets on that horse will be suspended immediately.
Past performances and real-time odds on Kentucky Derby Futures Bets will be available online before the pool opens on Friday.
