“Snowy roads can turn any ordinary driving activity into a delight for the senses. Higher stakes, quieter roads, limited grip. I like the heightened sense of awareness that driving in the snow gives – look a little further ahead to spot hazards, leave a little more space between cars as we don’t know anything about proficiency the next driver’s skill (or the condition of their tires).
“I also love the feeling of leaving the house knowing I’m fully prepared: snow tires, warm clothes, a zipper and other emergency supplies in the back – just in case.
“Every drive in the snow is a little adventure that (under the right circumstances) can be enjoyed.”
It’s a dangerous job, get out your door. You step out onto the street, and if you don’t stand, don’t know where you might be swept away.
