But the giants you see here are on another level. Hello Tiggo 9, Chery’s new flagship SUV. It’s a tall, handsome guy, with a big and imposing grille and clear lines throughout, even cleaner with pop-out door handles. Two-tone bodywork, a horizontal stripe above the license plate, 20-inch turbine wheels – all standard stuff, but tastefully finished. I found something interesting: a circular Chery stamp on the rear pillars, just on the rider’s side.
It’s almost American, and the feel I have (not saying both look the same, just the feel) is the same as the latest one. other car, a luxury MPV. It is also almost the size of America. At 4,820 mm long and 1,930 mm wide, the Tiggo 9 is 98 mm longer and 70 mm wider than the Tiggo 8 Pro, while the 2,820 mm wheelbase is 110 mm longer.

What I find really refreshing is Chery’s use of lighter tones and surprising interior color combinations, as opposed to the dull and dark default. It really adds to the feeling of luxury. The Chinese brand is quite creative and bold in this respect – who would have thought it Blue leather and yellow stitching Will look OK in a car?
There are five- and seven-seat options for the Tiggo 9, and the car you see here is a three-row version, with the third row folding flat 50:50.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 261 hp and 400 Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters sends power to all four corners. Chery claims a combined fuel consumption of 7.7 liters per 100 km. A 2.0T plug-in hybrid is in production and that PHEV will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a combined range of 1,300 km in the local cycle.
If you were expecting us to conclude by saying that the Tiggo 9 is available in Malaysia, like Chery’s posts before it, sorry, it will not come to our market.
