It could be 2022, but hearing all of that, it could well be 2014. Nostalgia continues to lead the way in the drama world, as evident by the renaissance of the 90s and 2000s that have already taken place. increased in popularity over the past few years. However, mentions of the 2010s are also slowly appearing on the scene, starting with the dominant social media site of the time — Tumblr. I was in high school then, and most of my fashion preferences, music choices, and pop culture references were organized by whatever I repost on my Tumblr page. My goal in life is to be as cool as Alexa Chung, I wear a leather jacket and religious combat boots, and thick winged eyeliner is my best friend.
I don’t think I’ve ever stopped listening to my 2014 playlist, and I still dance on Tumblr from time to time when I need an aesthetic refresh. I don’t believe that exactly The 2014 Tumblr-girl aesthetic will be all over again (Time has a few major cons, like unhealthy body image ads), but I think parts of the era have turned to modern times with small edit.
