The stockpile is back with a makeover for the all-new Destruction AllStars event – PlayStation.Blog
The Stockpile is back, with a twist, in our brand new event, launching today in Destruction AllStars! Our second event, Unite, ended last week and now our new event, Survive, is bringing back an old game mode with a new twist as Stockpile Frenzy joins the playlist Trios. This latest event also adds a new “special rules” game mode to spice up our existing game modes along with brand new cosmetics for you to earn and unlock, which can is through our weekly challenges or our new AllStar Pass! Finally, our competitive mode is getting brand new rewards this season, so there’s a lot to learn in today’s blog post!
Tornado warning in effect
Stockpile is one of our team game modes with a more objective focus, it revolves around collecting gears from damaged opponents and depositing them in your team’s bank to score points. . Stockpile Frenzy has been designed from the ground up for a trio playlist, where three teams of three players battle in arenas with one bank each. Deposit gears into your own bankroll to score points, or draw gears from your opponent’s bank! While it sounds straight forward, the arena is turning against you like a tornado destroying vehicles through the map, devouring anything in its path! You’ll need to show off your driving skills and navigate the arena to get your gears safely to the bank or do a close-up drive by collecting gears near the tornadoes for a last minute score. We’re really excited to bring this version of Stockpile back to the multiplayer playlist as we’ve seen a lot of requests from our community for its return. The team at Lucid can’t wait to see how people react to the new danger of tornadoes and to the trio of new dynamics brought to the regime!
Spice up the arena
Tornadoes aren’t the only way for us to change things in the arena. We’re also adding a bunch of special rules to our Quickplay and Trios playlists. The idea behind these special rules is to provide players with ways to earn extra points in the game of AllStars Destruction by mixing up their playstyles a bit. Here is a breakdown of these new special rules:
- Mayhem Trios (Mayhem Trios)
- Each team is given a “rival” team to target.
- Take out that team to award bonus points.
- Most Wanted (Mayhem Quickplay)
- The player who kills 3 opponents will be marked on the HUD for all players in the arena.
- Players who then destroy or KO the marked player will be awarded bonus points.
- Team Break Pack (Any Trios Game Mode)
- At fixed points in the game, Team Break Pack items will appear in the arena, marked for all players on the HUD.
- If a player collects a Team Break Pack, their team will have their Hero Car and AllStar Breaker and it will be made available immediately.
We want to know how these new special rules affect your choice of AllStar! Special rules go into effect from next week, so you and your friends have some time to plan out how you’ll go about these new goals!
