Hyundai has listed the price for the Ioniq 6 electric sedan for the US market and its starting price is only 70 USD less than 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric cross.
The price of the 2023 Ioniq 6 Standard Range is $42,715, including a $1,115 destination fee. This version carries a 53 kWh battery pack and the EPA’s estimated driving range is 240 miles.
Of particular note is the Ioniq 6 SE Long Range—the version that offers an EPA-rated driving range of 361 miles, beating Tesla Model 3 Long Range, from a 77.4 kWh battery pack. It starts at $46,615.
Both prices are only slightly lower than the Ioniq 5 crossover. The starting price of the Ioniq 5 is $42,785 for the Standard Range version and $46,835 for the Long Range version, including a higher $1,335 destination fee.
The dual-engined Ioniq 6 models start with the 316-mile SE AWD Long Range, at $50,115, while the top-of-the-line AWD Limited costs $57,215 and offers 270-mile range.

In addition to 5, Hyundai has also adjusted the engine system in 6 to improve efficiencyand it includes both a heat pump and battery heating—perhaps making it highest charging time 10-80% in just 18 minutes on a slightly more accessible 350 kw fast charger. It’s also the first Hyundai model to offer over-the-air updates for the entire vehicle, not just the infotainment system.
Because the Ioniq 6 is made in Korea, it won’t qualify for the revised EV tax credit, known as the Clean Car Credit—although it may qualify for some. of the state.

Amid the constantly fluctuating Tesla prices, the Model 3 is currently priced at $44,380 in Standard Range form, with a 272-mile range. At the time of writing, Model 3’s Long Range versions are specified as no longer available. However, it’s eligible for a $7,500 credit now, with a projected credit of $3,750 later stricter material requirements introduced in March.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023 hard to find at anything close to the retail price. Last year, when five vehicles qualified for the electric vehicle tax credit, “market adjusted” surcharges of up to $10,000 are not uncommon for dealers to exploit the situation. The Ioniq models aren’t yet available at all Hyundai dealers in the United States, but Hyundai says it’s now spread across 39 states.
Hyundai says most trim levels of the Ioniq 6 will be available at US dealerships starting this spring, with standard shipments to be delivered this summer.
