Top predictions for the 2024 PGA Championship
One big surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 PGA Championship: Brooks Koepka, a three-time PGA champion and one of the favorites, stumbled and didn’t even make the top 10. Koepka has five major tournament wins on his resume and is renowned for raising his level of play in major events. However, his last two major tournament starts were uneventful as he finished 45th at the Masters, then 64th at last year’s Open Championship. He hasn’t made par in his last seven rounds at major tournaments.
After winning three tournament championships in 2023, including last year’s PGA Championship, Koepka has had a rough go in 2024. He has no wins, or even was a top-five finish, and in six starts he had three times as many finishes outside the pack. top 25 (three) as well as he has in the top 10 (one). He played Valhalla at the 2014 PGA Championship and finished tied for 15th, but that placing ranked eighth among his 11 career PGA Championship starts.
