The comments are great! I didn’t know what my dog was allergic to so I got him tested. There is no store tick allergy chart found in any dog food and dry food and even flour-based human food. The solution is to freeze food to kill ticks. It’s very rough but true. You can google it. I’m guessing she’s going to be allergic to chicken or something but that’s a mite that lives in dog food.

Yes, we are only rough for 5 years. He suddenly had an allergic reaction (skin) and we went on a 3x diet to find the cause. Turns out it’s the environment (river/lake water), we can’t figure out what it is other than he cleans when the humidity is 80% and it gets really bad at 20%.
He has just been given allergy food, allergy medicine, allergy foam, and he has to be bathed with allergy/antibacterial soap so that his hot spots/scratches don’t get infected. He was wearing a light jacket all the time indoors for 2 weeks when we had a dry spell (-45 degrees C) (and yes, we have a humidifier but it just couldn’t keep up).
It’s been 7 days, no need to wear a coat anymore and you can pet it again, the skin is cleaner, almost no more scratching. Congratulations to my lucky boy again.
I am not listing the actual medications as I feel it should be investigated with your vet. My vet is a pro but in the meantime we made the switch.

I have tried every dog food imaginable and Nulo is the winner! We mix salmon and peas with lamb and chickpeas. It has probiotics in its food for it to digest in the intestines. It was a bit pricey, but definitely cut the vet bills and now she’s a completely different dog, more playful and not so sly as our other Doberman. Good luck, finding out dog allergies are the worst!

My girl has a grain allergy as well as a duck allergy so we fed her signature and swinging through the flavors, her favorite is salmon with some Stella and raw freeze-dried Chewys.

The majority of pet allergies involve not only certain proteins but also dyes, preservatives, and fillers, found in all processed and packaged pet foods. Switching your pet to a different prepackaged food rarely solves the problem entirely. After much trial and error on every prescription and non-prescription dog food, we came to the conclusion that we would cook and prepare our own puppy food. He no longer has ears and anus, or exhaust in the room, and no longer has vomiting or diarrhea. I couldn’t hear his stomach from across the room because he was trying to digest something he couldn’t anymore. We know what proteins he can have now, and we stick to it along with some safer vegetables and fruits. I recommend talking to your vet and asking what sites they recommend for making the perfect food for your furry baby. I also recommend a referral to an allergist to determine exactly what proteins your child can and cannot have before you start planning meals. Most dogs with allergies can’t tolerate poultry, so don’t be surprised if chicken is number one no lol. We are feeding organic grass-fed beef and lamb. We add organic peas, carrots, zucchini and brown rice to the bone broth and cook in two crock pots on Sundays. It took all 15 minutes to prepare and 45 minutes to cool, bag and wash the crockery. No big deal at all. When we fed him, he was supplemented with blueberries along with salmon oil, vit e oil and a probiotic. His snacks are apples, carrots, watermelon, cooked eggs, green beans, cucumbers, cubed cooked potatoes (rare) and extra cubed cooked beef. I hope all this helps!
