Tesla Model 3 update leaked, new dash cluster can be seen

One Reddit user posted what appears to be up to date Tesla Model 3taken at a hangar speculated to be located in Florida.

The image appears to show a new headlight design, removing the lower fog light area and the instrument cluster in front of the driver.

We’ve previously reported that Tesla is expected to roll out an update for 3 . sample will go into production in the third quarter of 2023.

Sources say the new project will be codenamed Project Highland and is expected to feature updates to both the exterior and interior of the popular electric sedan.

These latest images also show the instrument cluster in front of the driver. If it goes into production, it is likely to include things like speedometers, power meters and important information about the Autopilot driver assistance system.

According to the report, the refreshed Model 3 will be distinguished by redesigned headlights as shown here, possibly equipped with matrix LED technology.

Reportedly, Model 3 and Model Y models currently on sale already have matrix LED headlight technology, although it is not enabled via software.

The outlet reports these will be five-megapixel cameras with anti-glare coating, outperforming the current 1.2-megapixel in-car units. The updated model will also upgrade from a Hardware 3 to a Hardware 4 supercomputer.

There won’t be any ultrasonic sensors as the company pushes ahead with its Tesla Vision system, which doesn’t rely on radar or sensors but relies on cameras.

Tesla has previously said it won’t go the traditional ‘upgrade’ route like traditional car companies, but it looks like it’s changing its tune to help keep its vehicles fresh.
