Thoroughbred Research and Education Foundation (TERF) is pleased to offer the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) $5,000 for educational use.
The mission of the RRP is to facilitate the placement of former Thoroughbred racers into a second career by increasing demand for them in the equestrian market and educating riders to provide training programs. created to secure their future. The driving force behind everything RRP does is to educate the public, especially equestrians and riding enthusiasts, about the potential and versatility of Thoroughbreds off the track as a riding horse and competition. RRP does this through their famous Purebred Makeover and National Symposium.
In 2018, TERF generously awarded RRP a $20,000 grant to support their expanded 4-day model of Purebred Makeup and National Symposium, increasing RRP’s presence in horse events across the United States and helped create the popular “Ask the Trainer Anything” feature, in which a group of experts answer training questions. In 2019, TERF was kind enough to give RRP a $5,000 grant to put into Makeover, followed by 2020 and 2021 when they were once again awarded $5,000 in grants.
In keeping with its mission to support and promote equine education by supporting organizations that are educating the public on how to properly care for horses, TERF will continue to provide their financial support into 2022.
