Taito’s ‘Space Seeker’ explodes its way into the Arcade series of storage machines

We’ll tackle Namco’s backlog a bit this week in the Arcade Archives lineup, as the next game in the series is the 1981 arcade shooter. Space seeker. The game will go on sale on the eShop tomorrow – June 16 – with the regular price of $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

This game is known for having many different perspectives on its six areas. Much of the game is played as a side-scrolling shooter, but you have to navigate multiple areas – known as ‘bases’ – from a top-down perspective and if you attack a fleet here, you will switch to the first-person perspective cockpit.

Space Seeker is also part of Taito’s Milestones the collection launched in the West in April earlier this year, so it would be nice if the game was available digitally and separately, especially since we’re a bit disappointed by the selection:

You can check out some of the Space Seeker games below, and make sure you let us know if you’ll download it in the comments!
