Sanrio and Mofusand keychains feature a cat eating fruit
Sanrio and mofusand’s collaboration keychain is now available in gacha machines across Japan. They feature mofusand cats dressed like the Sanrio mascot.
Each test will cost 400 JPY (about 2.60 USD). There are a total of five variations of keychains to receive. You can get one of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Hangyodon, Kuromi and Pekkle. Of these, only Hello Kitty’s mofusand doesn’t look like a costumed cat. Instead, it looks like a chubby white cat wearing overalls. All the cats were also holding and eating various fruits.
Mofusand is a similar brand to Sanrio, in that it features cute animals on everyday items such as USB cords, notepads, and other accessories. While Sanrio’s characters often have fairly simple designs, mofusand’s art style is a bit more realistic. In the past, the company has also worked on properties such as Monster hunter and with brands like Nayuki.
While this collaboration doesn’t appear to be a celebration of any kind, Sanrio is currently selling a variety of Hello Kitty-focused products due to 2024 being her 50th anniversary. Goods included Snow globe And golden number. People in Japan can also visit Puroland until the end of the year to participate in commemorative events.
