Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and EvangelionWhat does Unit-01’s have in common? They all have projects under their name Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno. Those could be key elements in a new initiative called Shin Japan Heroes Universecan aim to merge four people under one banner.
The project was introduced by the officials Shin Kamen Rider social network accounts.

This account shows some artwork of Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Unit-01, and Godzilla standing in formation, along with a logo that looks like them. The Shin Japan Heroes Universe will be a “collaborative project” between Shin Godzilla, Shin Kamen Rider, Shin Ultramanand Rebuild Evangelion (with Japanese title Shin Evangelion). Although the tweet encourages interested people to wait for new information, one Official website opened hints of what was to come.
Site description Shin Japan Heroes Universe as a “magic project” that unites the four works. It was launched under an agreement between Toho, Studio Khara, Tsuburaya Productions and Toei. The art shown in the tweet was created by artist Mahiro Maeda. After spending her early career at Studio Ghibli, Maeda became a major contributor to the works of anime studio Gonzo, helping to create shows like Blue Submarine No. 6 and Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo. He helped design the angels and worked on Evangelion 3.0 and 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time. The Shin Japan Heroes Universe the logo was designed by Yutaka Izubuchi, an artist and designer with works like Ergo Proxy, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocketand Mobile police patrol. He also designed the new logo of SEELE in Rebuild Evangelion. Both artists will be heavily involved in whatever the project has to offer.
Shin Japan Heroes Universe is in the process of development. Shin Godzilla available on streaming services and through retail, while Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 available on Amazon Prime Video. Shin Ultraman Released in Japan on May 13, 2022while Shin Kamen Rider get a date for March 2023.
