As soon as we think that Honda CB750 popularity is waning, we’re hit with another excellent custom build based on the venerable four-cylinder UJM. This time it’s the turn of Germany’s Himora Motors, which has just unveiled this tough Honda CB750 roadster.

Based near Jena, a city in the forested state of Thuringia, Hiroma Motors is a custom motorcycle and bicycle clothing brand founded by Kay Riemann. A graphic and industrial designer by trade, Kay is a third-generation petrolhead who founded the company as a creative outlet. He was joined by his father and experienced fabricator, Bernd, and an old classmate, Willi Schaup.

This 1994 Honda CB750F2 (known as the CB Seven Fifty in Europe) is the shop’s seventh bike. Created as a personal project with no client or brief, the atmosphere is purely business—amplifying the best features of the CB750 while paring down much of its content. The results are even more impressive when you consider that the donor’s bike had been parked in the garage for six years, forgotten and neglected.

Himora brought the discarded CB750 back from the brink, giving it a new engine and chassis finishing kit to make it look fresher than when it left the factory. The original airbox is still used but the exhaust system has been replaced with a custom made 4 into 2 exhaust with Cobra muffler.

The CB750 is equipped with a new YSS rear shock absorber, with new springs and oil in the front fork. Himora retains the original Honda 5-spoke wheels but wraps them with beefy Pirelli Scorpion STR tires. They also renewed the original Nissin brakes.

Moving on to the bodywork, the guys kept the CB750’s massive tank and crafted a new dual-contour seat to complement it. The subframe was cut and closed, and slim LED taillights were attached to the rear.

Custom fenders front and rear, with elegantly handcrafted struts holding the front fenders in place. The oval number plate serves as the side cover, emblazoned with Himora’s logo. The bike’s license plate is located on a bracket mounted on the swingarm, to the left of the rear wheel.

Himora has equipped the CB750 with an aggressive upright riding position, with a set of low street bike bars that minimize the potential for back problems. The handlebars are equipped with new grips and handle end mirrors as well as the original switches. The entire bike is also rewired to ensure reliability.

A small, center-mounted headlight protrudes forward. Just above that is the stylish Motogadget speedo in a custom mount, with an offset to make room for the stock ignition barrel. Completing the lighting system are LED turn signals, discreetly mounted at either end of the Honda.

Finished in a black and gray color scheme, with striking red accents and a subtle tank badge, Himora’s Honda CB750 is a clear testament to the platform’s perennial popularity. It’s also one of the shop’s most admired pieces to date, because, as Kay explains, everyone who sees it remembers the CB750 with fondness or has owned one in the past. at that time.
