Sportier Subaru EVs, beneficial fast charging, mid-range EPA: Car News Today


Subaru shows off some fancy looking EVs. More electric vehicles on the market last year meant the average EPA range fell somewhat. And will profitability be possible for EV fast charging by the middle of this decade? This and more, at Green Car Reports.

An executive at BP stated, according to Reuters, on the basis that the fast-charging capabilities of electric vehicles are close to the levels seen in petrol pumps. May profitable fast charging to a major multinational energy company by the end of the decade?

Subaru isn’t ditching its performance variants in the electric age, the brand hinted on Friday, with the launch of both electric road racing car and a sporty Solterra STI. For now, the Solterra looks more aggressive just for looks, but it’s a sign that Subaru is thinking about how to enhance the performance of the upcoming EV.

While there are more long-range EVs than ever in 2021, rising to a 405-mile top for the year, the average EV range actually dropped last year. That’s because of the number of new entries coming in.
