Analysis that has been done during the rounds of the 2022 World Championship shows that the first drivers to open will be at a disadvantage against the others.
As a result, the FIM World Rally-Raid Championships & World Raid Championship Committee decided to introduce a time bonus to award the 3 racers who opened the track in the Selective Section. This bonus is applied to all rider categories.
- The first rider to validate the WP Reward: 1.5 seconds X distance traveled since the previous Waypoint Reward (WP) expressed in kilometers and rounded down to the nearest hundred meters.
- Second rider to validate WP Rewards: 1 second X distance traveled since previous WP Reward expressed in kilometers and rounded down to the nearest hundred meters.
- Third rider to validate WP Rewards: 0.5 seconds X distance traveled since previous WP Reward expressed in kilometers and rounded down to the nearest hundred meters.
Scratch Time at the end of the Selected Section will automatically be credited to the Bonus to determine the starting order of the Stage the following day. Rewards will be rounded down to a whole second and displayed on the time card at the end of the Selected Section.
Road to RallyGP
The winner of the FIM World Rally-Raid Cup in the Rally2 category will automatically be promoted to the RallyGP category next year (pass required). The prize money for Rally2 winners will correspond to 100% of the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship season entry fee provided by ASO.

Air bag
Each driver must be present at an airbag technical inspection to check the effectiveness of his or her device. The number of spare tapes required will be adjusted lap-by-round and will be detailed in the FIM World Rally Championship Supplemental Regulations. As a reminder, dual cartridge airbags will be deployed according to the following schedule:
