So long and thanks to all the fish
I think all along, I knew it had to end this way…
After 13 years of writing about motorcycles, it’s time for me to pursue the next challenge in life, and overcome it Asphalt & rubber keyboard for others.
When I started A&R over a decade ago, I never thought it would lead to so many things. I actually started the site in the middle of a business school finance class, hoping that it would lead to some decent work after I graduated. Obviously, things are a bit far from me.
Since that October morning, Asphalt & rubber published more than 12,000 stories, with more than 50 million people stopping by along the way to read them. If I’m honest, that’s a scary statistic.
It was horrifying because I had never embarked on a major industry publication that others would refer to and read for their daily updates on the motorcycle industry.
I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished at Asphalt & rubber.
I didn’t do this along with, and so I’m incredibly grateful to whoever wrote a story for A&R, or work behind the scenes to keep the lights on. I owe you more than words can express here – countless thanks are not enough.
In addition, I will sincerely miss the close friendships of my fellow friends who traveled the world with me and who made my two-wheeler adventures all the more memorable with their antics above. and beyond their bicycles.
I would also like to express my gratitude to anyone who has stopped by to read my words over the years. It is an honor to write for you, and I am humbled every time I meet a reader, listener or fan in person. You are what made this effort worthwhile.
I suspect the coming weeks will be a long goodbye on site, so if in those days I don’t get a chance to say it…
So long and thanks for all the fish,
Jensen Beeler
