Kawasaki workshop technician

Kawasaki Motors Australia has a vacancy at its headquarters in Sydney (Rydalmere, NSW) for a qualified technician working in all areas of workshop support for the entire product line.

Kawasaki Motors Australia is looking for a qualified and competent technician. Technicians will be comfortable operating in a small group with minimal direct supervision.

New Workshop Technicians will be required to consistently deliver work they are proud of and ensure work is 100% completed and in compliance with factory standards. The role is not customer facing. Working week from Monday to Friday.

RESPONSIBILITY
KEY DUTIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for the assembly, service, maintenance and repair of Kawasaki Australia’s pressurized fleet.
  • Support in all areas of operation of the Kawasaki Australia workshop.
  • Support product rework, warehouse repair and product introduction.
  • Carry out assembly of locally made models.
  • Visit the Australian dealer network from time to time for support, training and inspection.

US EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
TESTS AND SKILLS:

  • Commercial certificate of conformity.
  • Product Operation License (Cars and Motorcycles are minimum requirements).
  • Proficient computer operations are required for daily work and communication functions.
  • Be clear and polite in your ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to keep the work area and workday organized.
  • A “can do/will do” approach to all tasks.
  • Get comfortable with hands-on work and desk work.
  • You are a technician with high integrity and professional appearance.
  • The team is oriented and ready to support the work.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Ability to travel, locally and interstate, to meet job requirements.
  • Secondary experience and marine engineering is an advantage.

SUMMARY
THE MAIN TASK:

  • Accurately convey Kawasaki news, product information and racing activities
  • Collate, write, and distribute content about Kawasaki products and KMA-supported teams/riders.
  • Write and circulate press releases, newsletters and reports (internal and external).
  • Maintain the KMA communication platform and associated subscription list.
  • Organize, prepare and supervise Kawasaki products for testing by media.
  • Work with media for product testing, reporting and content distribution.
  • Place ads on agreed print and digital platforms (internal and external).
  • Create content and coordinate publishing on Kawasaki Social Media channels.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • There is no direct management responsibility, functional accountability between departments and between companies.

US EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUEST:

  • Degree in one or more – Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or similar
  • Experience in content creation.
  • Competent in public speaking, presentations and interviews.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media content, management, and marketing impact across multiple platforms.
  • Experience in digital advertising platforms; Google’s social networks and platforms including AdWords.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Knowledge of photography, video production and editing skills is a plus.
  • A passion for motorsports &/or strong sports is required.
  • It is necessary to have a motorbike and car driver’s license.

FAVORITE SKILLS:

Current PWC license.
