Sir Lancelot continues his quest to win Bowman Mill
The Invincibles Sir Lancelot led the field with seven participants at Bowman Mill Stakes October 29, a six-year event for 2-year-olds on the main track at Keeneland.
Trained by Michael Stidham for owners/raiders Susan and John Moore, sons of Gold Coins kicked off her career with a massive 7 3/4 length win in the special women’s weight class on September 9 at Delaware Park.
In the end, gelding delivered an almost identical performance during the Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial Festival. Presque Isle Downs where he ran away with the score seven dimensional first Dawgmentality and Camino de Santiago .
Moores bred gelding in Kentucky from their Polish mare Numbers Skiing Madame X whom they lobbied to win Caesar’s Wish Shares in 2002 at Racecourse Pimlico. The mare has eight winners from 11 ponies to race. Sir Lancelot was her last reported pony.
Jose Ortiz, who rode to victory in the Memorial, will be on board the train to Bowman Mill.
Also entered as Fast hammer who is the winner Belmont At The Big A in a first special weight class race on September 16 for trainer Brad Cox and a third August 13 Saratoga Special Stakes (G2), Super Chow .
Completing this field is Raise Cain , Jeremy’s Jet , Typhoon J and Bourbon Bash .
