Shelter dogs can barely contain their excitement as they pick out their own toys for Christmas

Santa Claus comes early to Dogs Trust Ireland, Ireland’s largest dog rescue, and brings something for every shelter dog.

Widespread supporters of the rescue (Santa Claus) have given countless toys to the homeless dogs to have a Merry Christmas.

The annual tradition known as Santa’s Day brings joy not only to the dogs but to everyone who watches the video.

All the toys are lined up in a room and the dogs take turns going in to choose a toy for Christmas. Most get so excited that they run a few laps around the room before choosing their favorite.

First in the room is the Flounder, a small mixed breed that quickly checks all the toys but decides to pick a blue and green ball. Next was Gizmo, a terrier hybrid who immediately fell in love with farm animal toys. He kept going back and forth between the cow and the chicken, but in the end he still chose the cow.

Big boy Chase smiled as he threw a stuffed goblin toy in the air and continued to roll on the ground. He is the image of pure joy.

The gray terrier Milo chose one of the longest toys and ran around the room with it to the delight of everyone watching.

Some dogs like Minnie, when they grab a stuffed bird, immediately know what toy they want while others stare a little longer.

Last but not least, Missy quickly picked up a ball toy and ran to an employee to show off her new gift.

The touching incident was shared on social media. Salvation posted video on Twitter and in just one day it got over a million views.

The video has made the day of countless people around the world. Some wonder if dogs are attracted to certain toys. Salvation answered by saying, “They all have their preferences! Some like creaking, some like soft and some like a good bouncing ball! That’s why we give them so many choices. Can’t just pick a favorite reaction right? ”

All the remaining toys are placed under the tree to be distributed on Christmas Day.
