Two divisions of Shadwell Farms, Shadayid Stud and Erhaab Stud, are being sold as part of a restructuring of Shadwell Farms. Two farms brokered by Justice Real Estate cost $17.75 million and $12 million, respectively.
The farms are separate from the original main division, where Shadwell will continue to raise the crossbreeds, Justice Real Estate said in a statement.
Shadwell, a worldwide racing and breeding facility, announced in September that it would be downsizing following the death of owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum in March. The transition includes relocating. moved some stallions and sold a substantial number of herds and breeds.
The land on which Shadayid Stud is located was tendered in 1993-94 and covers approximately 839 acres. The 587-acre northern portion of this property is currently being developed into a desirable division with 50-75 acre fields and six warehouses with 84 pavilions and site manager residences. camp and staff. South Elkhorn Creek lies along the rear boundary of the ranch.
The southern part of the property has 43 lawns, various barns and staff quarters.
Erhaab Stud, formerly Elko Bell Farm, is located on the Scott/Franklin County line. Acquired by Shadwell in 1999, it developed into a Purebred nursery with a barn, jogging barn, walker and covered pens. It also has a 5,900 square foot home and four employee residences.
