Artur Beterbiev-Dmitry Bivol postponed after Beterbiev’s knee injury
The fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed 175-pound championship, scheduled for June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was postponed after Beterbiev was injured in knee during exercise.
The IBF, WBC and WBO champion suffered a ruptured meniscus, Top Rank announced in a press release.
The promotional company plans to stage the lightweight bout before the end of the year.
The 5-on-5 portion of the show, in which fighters from Matchroom and Queensberry Promotions will face each other, will take place as scheduled on June 1. DAZN.

- Deontay Wilder vs Zhelei Zhang, a serious opponent
- Filip Hrgovic vs Daniel Dubois, a serious opponent
- Raymond Ford vs. Nick Ball, featherweight (for Ford’s WBA title)
- Austin Williams vs Hamzah Sheeraz, middleweight
- Craig Richards vs. Willy Hutchinson, light heavyweight
The Beterbiev-Bivol fight is highly anticipated as both fighters are undefeated and on the undercard.
Beterbiev, 39, stopped all 20 of his opponents, including Callum Smith for seven innings in January.
Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs) is best known for defeating Canelo Alvarez in May 2022. Since then, he has surpassed his then-undefeated record Gilberto Ramirez And Lyndon Arthur with one-sided decisions.
The Arthur fight takes place in December, which means Bivol will be out of action for a long time due to the postponement.
