Before Black Friday I considered harnessing its power for my own benefit, by upgrading from my current, increasingly buggy and technically stolen chassis. I may have found that new case now, and I’m willing to share: it’s the NZXT H710 and it’s a healthy £40 discount.
I’ve always been pleased to deal with the less than perfect airflow of the NXZT cases in exchange for their clean, simple design, although I do remember when the ancestor of this case – the H700i – came out, it was overpriced and seemed to make for a downgrade from the S340 models which I enjoyed a lot. Now there are more affordable non-i models (which just means they don’t come with NZXT’s redundant Smart Hub), plus the built-in USB-C port that the H710 and H710i introduced, all The design suite has evolved with me. And that Black Friday price also plummeted against RRP.
Please note that this price is only for the white version, which is a pity – there is a red/black version that doesn’t look as bad as it sounds, but it seems to have sold out or maintained a high price tag significantly more elsewhere.
However, I’ve dealt with this on review systems enough times to know it’s a good thing, with easy-to-use cable routing and plenty of room for you to use (or a long GPU). The fact that the entire top and front edges are perforated into vents also means a fair amount of ventilation, which isn’t always the case (hah) on machines with solid fronts.
