I don’t know about you, but when I heard the word odyssey, I was expecting something grand, something mythical, something literal. Samsung’s line of monitors certainly has models that fit the bill, including the cyclopean Odyssey G9. Sadly, such redundancy is not always practical. Your desk is not big enough or for some reason you don’t have enough money to sit on the screen. Even so, you still want a little adventure, as a treat. Maybe an odyssette? What I just discovered is a real word, not something I made up for fun. Well, don’t worry, guys, I’m here with a deal on the much more manageable Samsung Odyssey G5, when you’re feeling just a little bit epic.
It’s a US-only deal, I’m afraid, but Ameri-chums can buy the G5 directly from Samsung for $250, which is $130 off the regular asking price.

This monitor may be on the less terrible end of the Odyssey range, but it’s still a big guy at 27″. The QHD resolution, which is 1440p or 2560×1440 for those who like numbers, means you still have nice pixel density at a size that doesn’t require the massive graphics of 4K. It’s worth noting that the 1000R curvature is quite severe, which is said to conform to the contours of the human eye and provide a viewing experience with minimal strain.
