St John of God Health Care adopts online IFC, EpiSoft payment process
St John of God Health Care has implemented EpiSoft’s online informed payment and Financial Approval process for patients.
These features are the latest addition to the epi-me online patient admission portal, also by EpiSoft. It has also been integrated with the hospital group’s web-based PAS.
These additions provide “significant efficiency improvements” to hospitals. It allows staff to prepare a patient fee estimate from the webPAS, which is then automatically exported to the epi-me where it is presented along with the Country Claim Form.

ADHA Begins Migration to New Health API Gateway
The Australian Digital Health Authority started the transition to the new Health API Gateway this week.
The new Health API Gateway replaces the current Oracle API Gateway to facilitate connection to My Health Profile.
According to the ADHA update, the full rollout of the new health portal is expected to take 2-3 weeks.
Last year, the agency awarded Deloitte contracted to develop a health portal, which provides a “secure and scalable platform for exchanging and accessing medical information.” It is based on modern web services and standards for HIEs such as FHIR.
Medi-Map platform approved for use in Western Australia
Medi-Map’s electronic medication administration system has been approved for use in Western Australia as part of a closed electronic prescribing system between an inpatient aged care facility (RACF) and a pharmacy.
The Medi-Map Drug Administration System has been deemed transitionally compliant under the National Electronic Population Charts Conversion Agreement (eNRMC).
After this recognition, Medi-Map will still have to provide more detailed information on governance and employee access to the system, processes and illustrations of its use as a closed system.
Since 2018, RACFs across the country have been testing eNRMC-compliant products with the aim of making them available nationally.
