Rolls royce car unveiled a one-off bespoke creation called Phantom Syntopiamade in collaboration with Haute Couturère Iris van Herpen.
Based on stretched wheelbase Rolls-Royce Phantom, this one-off model is claimed to be “the most technically complex bespoke Phantom” ever produced. It took four years to develop.
Phantom Syntopia takes its name from Iris van Herpen’s 2018 collection, which includes a series of highly sculptural garments brought to life through movement.
To create a shimmering exterior, Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective has developed a unique Liquid Noir paint.
It has purple, blue, magenta and yellow tones that can be viewed at different angles. The process took several months, including more than 3000 hours of testing and validation.
Inside is the eye-catching “Weaving Water Starlight Headliner” that took 700 hours to create.
It is crafted of a single leather with precise symmetrical cuts. There’s also a silver liquid metal texture made from woven nylon fabric underneath.
In addition, there are 162 delicate petals made of organza glass and 995 glittering fiber optic ‘stars’.
The Phantom Syntopia’s front seats are finished in specially crafted Magic Gray leather.
On the other hand, the rear seats are finished in silk-blend fabric, whose pattern is reminiscent of the light reflected on the water at night.
This Phantom Syntopia is the first Rolls-Royce to use a distinct scent to create a “true immersive experience”.
The base scent is cedar wood with a hint of leather, rose from Patagonia and light lemon.
The specially developed scent release mechanism housed in the headrest took more than two years to develop.
Rolls-Royce says the Phantom Syntopia will have a place in a customer’s private collection in May this year. It has also said that it will never be copied.
