While playing in the backyard of their Tampa home, Haus and Molly were surprised by a venomous snake that suddenly appeared and headed towards Molly. Haus acted quickly and stood between his sister and the snake. He protected her many times and was bitten by snakes many times.
While Haus was exhibiting disturbing behavior, Molly’s grandmother came into the yard and saw what was happening. She soon realizes that Haus is actually trying to protect Molly from a dangerous snake. Despite her efforts to intervene, Haus persisted in attacking the snake until exhausted.

Haus was taken to hospital in critical condition. He was bleeding profusely and the venom was spreading through his veins at an alarming rate. The staff were worried because the usual dose of antivenom was not working for him. In the end, they took the orthodox treatment of using continuous anti-venom drops to save the 68 lb dog’s weakened organs.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Haus was miraculously able to pull through. It’s remarkable that he continues to smile like a proud dog brother, even after enduring so much pain over the past few weeks. The DeLuca family consider Haus to be a great role model for their children by consistently displaying good and selfless behavior.
