Debit and credit cards can now be used to purchase Rapid KL tickets and purchase My50, MyCity travel cards
Rapid KL transit system operator Rapid Rail has announced that debit and credit cards can now be used at Rapid KL stations to purchase tickets as well as purchase or top up My50 and MyCity travel cards. They added that the new payment methods are also available at the Rapid KL concession card registration counters at Pasar Seni Hub and Conlay MRT station.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the company said the new payment methods will improve ticket purchasing efficiency for Rapid KL users.
“This is in line with Rapid Rail’s commitment to upgrading its purchasing system and providing passengers with a positive travel experience. Users need not worry about carrying cash or searching for ATMs as (additional methods) enable more secure and seamless transactions,” the operator said.
The move towards Use debit and credit cards will eventually see all turnstiles in public transport stations handled by Prasarana able to accept payments via this open payment system by August 2025.
