The 31-year-old was relieved of duty by the Milwaukee Bucks this week to open a spot on the roster and in Denver he will form a strong central rotation behind defending MVP Nikola Jokic.
He will also reunite with former coach Mike Malone, who played for the Sacramento Kings during the 2013-14 season.

Cousin, who has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, split his time last season between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers after missing the entire 2019-20 season due to an ACL injury.
He’s been productive during his time at Milwaukee, averaging 9.0 points, 5.8 rebounds in 17 games (five starts).
According to The Undefeated’s Marc Spears, Cousins is expected to meet with Nuggets President Tim Connelly “before a formal contract is offered.”
