Rain, wind caused Monmouth Park to be canceled
Due to heavy rain and high winds that made landfall on the Jersey Shore on May 7, Monmouth Park canceled the opening day show scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
The track will remain open for full-card emulation, including the 148th lap of the Kentucky race presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) from Churchill Downs.
Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Sunday, May 8, with the first post at 12:15 p.m. for the Mother’s Day card nine races, headlined at $100,000 Serena’s Song Stakes.
The highlight of the 2022 racing season, the TVG.com Haskell Invitational (G1), will be contested for the 55th time on Saturday, July 23. The meeting runs until Sunday, September 18.
