There is good news for Qatar Airways Privilege Club members.
The airline has reduced the prices of many partner awards to match British Airways’ Avios currency, such as mostly miles first report.
This is especially great news for those with Citi ThankYou Bonus Points card words like Citi Premier® Card (see rates and fees), transferred to Qatar Airways at the rate of 1:1.
Here’s what you need to know.
New Qatar Partner Award Ranking
Last year, Qatar Airways adopted Avios . point currencyallows Qatar Privilege Club members to freely transfer their Avios to British Airways Executive ClubIberia Plus, Aer Lingus AerClub and Vueling Club.
However, after adopting the Avios currency, Qatar Airways did not adjust the partner rewards price to match British Airways — until now.
This is new award table for all Privilege Club partner redemptions. These rates apply to reward flights on Bangkok Airways, LATAM, Middle East Airlines, RwandAir, Virgin Australia and all Oneworld network operator:

Qatar partner redemptions are still hard to reserve
Unfortunately, this positive change only applies to the partner reward rate. Actually winning these awards remains a challenge. Unless you are exchanging your Qatar Avios for an American Airlines or British Airways flight, you will not be able to book your partner redemption on the Qatar website.
To redeem your Qatar Avios on another partner flight, you can call the Qatar Airways Privilege Club at 800-988-6128. However, its call center is only open during business hours on weekdays.
You can also view your flight partner’s schedule by selecting “book reward tickets” from this site. You can then submit a request to book a partner flight and the Qatar agent will process your booking if there are bonus seats available. However, because the prize space can change quickly, we do not recommend this option.
Instead, you can Transfer Avios to British Airwaysallowing more partner flights to be booked online.

bottom line
Qatar Airways has reduced the rewards price on its partner rewards chart to match British Airways. This means that General Privilege Club members no longer need to transfer their Avios to British Airways to unlock lower partner rates.
You can also use the Qatar Airways Privilege Club to book flights on Bangkok Airways, LATAM, Middle East Airlines, RwandAir and Virgin Australia at discounted rates; these airlines are not partners of British Airways.
On the other hand, placing the Qatar partner bonus is still difficult as there is no way to lock the availability of the bonus online instantly. As a reminder, although Qatar Airways does not allow stops on award tickets, you can use the program to make reservations open-jaw reward flights.
